This digital illustration was based on a photograph of Wallace and Gromit posted online. We then digitally removed the head of Wallace, repainted the background characters and dropped in a photo of James taken on a random trip. The new face was altered to match the style of claymation, distorted and the mouth was replaced with Wallace's. Shadows, lighting, and sharpness filters were applied and hair was digitally painted into place, pixel by pixel. The end result is a smooth transition into the new manipulated image. An extreme example of the types of alterations we can do. Total time was 7 hours.
